Theoretical explanation in four sections:

    • Technique:

In this section we will present the most recommended types of cameras for this type of photography. Discussing what features would be most important at the time of choosing a SLR camera, compact smartphone.

We will also explain the parts of the camera that intervene in a photograph and how to use them to have control and get good images. Including the use of the manual mode of the camera.

      Creation and composition:

To get good photographs of a property we need to have a clear set of composition concepts that allow us to enhance or enhance the different rooms of a property, in order to make it more attractive to the viewer.

Important issues such as keeping the vertical lines parallel to the edges, the height of the camera, take advantage of natural light and the lights of the house, get a correct lighting in the interior while watching the exteriors, etc.

      The report:

In this part we will analyze with examples the different parts of the house. The interior spaces, the exteriors, if it is a house with a garden, the different rooms, the terrace or the pool. We will also explain how to make those nocturnal photographs that are so striking.

We will also show how we can improve our photographs by looking before and after some stays in inhabited dwellings, and not especially attractive.

      The importance of the development:

When we made the pictures with analogue reels, after taking the pictures we took them to a laboratory to reveal and they delivered them to us finished.

That process has not disappeared. Now we have to do it ourselves. And a large part of the final result depends on the result of this processing or development. Here we can make the shadows are not so dark, that the photo is seen with bright colors and contrasted, that the outside of a window does not "burn", etc

Monday, February 25 in the afternoon from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Photographic practice

  • We will put into practice what we have learned in the morning photographing a property
We will analyze the property and we will see how we can explain it well and how you can get the most out of each stay. We will learn to show better the communication between the different zones so that the client can make a clear idea of how it is and how the property is distributed only by seeing the photographs.

We will also see how to create independent environments to enhance different areas of the house. If we have possibility, we can also make the nocturnal photographs.

Each student will bring their own camera and take pictures with it. The purpose of this practice is for the students to internalize the theory taught through the implementation of the acquired knowledge.

Tuesday, February 26 in the morning 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  • Theory of processing and adjustment of photographs

Thoroughly explain the process of developing and adjusting the photographs to enhance the tones and balance the lights of the images once taken.

We will discuss the development process with the Adobe Lightroom program. With this program we can do a basic development to contrast the image and intensify the colors easily automatable, get a good exposure at the same time for the interior of a room and the outside of the window, correct with a single click the vertical lines, clarify the shadows, etc.

We will also see how to leave the finished photo to the size that interests us for its placement on the website or its printing on paper.
