The Girona tourism sector warns that 5,000 jobs are at risk

The new decree that regulates the licenses for Tourist Use Housing (HUT) that the Government presented this week has raised opposition from the Girona tourism and business sector.

They assure that they have explained to the Government that this is the effect of the new decree on tourist apartments.

The president of the API College in Girona, Joan Company, has also presented an estimate of the tourist impact in the district. Company assures that the reduction of the 17,000 apartments in the district will imply 500,000 fewer visitors during the summer season in the Girona regions.
