Association of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia
The new entity provides to the professionals the compliance of all requirements of the new
Register of Real State Agents of Catalonia
On date 23rd of July of 2010 was create the Association of Real State Agents of Catalonia (AIC), entity that group together a large number of professionals of real state mediation in Catalan territory. Promoted, as institutional associates, by colleges of real estate agents in Barcelona, Girona and Lleida, this new association advise to the professionals on issues of great importance such as the differents insurances (warranty, to answer the amounts received in the exercise of the activity and liability) mandatory since the approval of Decree 12/2010 of 2nd of February, which regulates the requirements for the activity of estate agent.
On date 9th of March of 2010 the decree came into force and the Register of Realtors was created. The API colleges have already dealt collective registration of their members, certifying that gather all the requirements demand. The rest of estate agents will registered individually and obligatorily before September the 9th.
In this sense, many professionals are approaching to API Catalan colleges with the intention to join the group of API collegiates and reach all the legal requirements of current legislation. Since some do not have the requirements of academic qualifications to join the professional associations of Barcelona, Girona and Lleida have decided to promote the creation of an association that can accommodate all these other operators who develop with dignity and seriousness the profession of estate mediator in Catalonia.
As public corporations, of voluntary professional association, grouping the majority group in terms of the activity of real estate mediation, we believe it is our responsibility to public institutions and society promote the smooth functioning of the market and consumer protection providing coverage for estate agents who develop the profession according to the Catalan regulation but do not have the requirements to access the colleges.

Requirements:
1. Registered into the Register of AICAT.
2. Constitution of the regulatory bond set by the Association.
3. Payment of the entrance fee and deposit.
4. Payment of installments in a bank.
5. No criminal record.
