The fund to rehabilitate homes rises to 430 million euros

The Spanish government has announced a substantial investment of 430 million euros to address the rehabilitation of housing, the improvement of public buildings and the revitalization of urban spaces throughout the country. This measure, revealed by the Minister of Housing and Rural Agenda, Isabel Rodriguez Garcia, during a session in the Senate, is a significant step in the implementation of the Recovery Plan, which has as its main objective the improvement of housing and urban development sustainable.

The financing is allocated to all the autonomous communities of Spain, reflecting a joint effort to address housing and urban planning needs at the national level. This decision was approved unanimously in a meeting in which representatives of the central government and the autonomous communities participated, demonstrating a broad consensus in the allocation of resources for this purpose.

In addition to the 430 million euros, a further 600 million will also be included from the Building Rehabilitation Plan, committed to agreements with city councils, to further accelerate housing improvement efforts. This additional investment will contribute to exceeding the goal established by the government of rehabilitating one million homes before 2030.

This announcement highlights the urgent need to improve housing conditions and the urban environment in Spain, while demonstrating the government's commitment to this issue. With a total budget of 2,970 million euros for the housing rehabilitation program, this initiative seeks to address needs in a comprehensive and lasting manner, contributing to a substantial improvement in the quality of life of citizens and the health of communities.
